If you are tired of starting over, quit giving up!

I have been reading my friend Caroline's blog lately about her struggles with weight loss after her second baby and trying to get back into shape and it has really inspired my on a few points.

First: I am going to start measuring progress not by weight but by inches. After all when you step on a scale you are not only measuring how much fat is on your body, but also the food, water, blood and organs in there too!

Second: What I eat matters, I can't expect to look great this summer if I keep putting junk into my body.
-We have started eating alot healthier (green smoothies for breakfast, homemade lunches and dinners, no treats, no eating out!) and we continue to make progress, and I do recognize the extra energy I have on days where I eat super healthy!

Third: If you are tired of starting over, quit giving up!
I have seen it on pinterest before, but it wasn't until Caroline talked about it that it really clicked for me. I think for the last year I have started over in my fitness journey at least 10 times... each time I give up before I even see any results. Not this time folks!

My wonderful boyfriend and I have joined 24 hour fitness right by our house, and are planning on starting out with cardio twice a day and weights 3 days a week for the next while until we see some improvement in our cardiovascular health and HOPEFULLY in our waist line as well.

I guess I will be brave in a little while and post some before pictures as well as my measurements, it's probably the best way for me to stay accountable to myself :S
